Pierre Bleue has a deep charcoal-grey base enriched by subtle fossil-like inclusions, fine mineral speckling and gentle tonal variation. It recreates the understated character of natural Belgian blue stone, a material defined less by veining than by the small pale shell fragments and crinoid traces distributed through a dense dark ground. Faint cloudy shifts move across the field and a warmer brown edge appears where the stone would have weathered, but the surface reads as consistent rather than patterned.
Made from colour body porcelain with rectified edges, the slab offers low water absorption and clean continuity across large surfaces. Because the character is granular rather than directional, slabs place together without any layout planning and the pattern never repeats visibly, which suits long counter runs and continuous floors particularly well. It is the most architecturally neutral dark surface in the range: where St. Laurent brings gold veining and drama, Pierre Bleue provides depth and quiet.
