Rust Iron takes its reference from the depth and patina of oxidised metal. The dark charcoal-brown base is layered with blackened areas, muted bronze tones and subtle rust accents, with cool blue-grey undertones surfacing in the mid-field where the metal would have cooled unevenly. Bronze bloom gathers in patches across the upper surface and deep corrosion collects along the perimeter, so the slab is darkest at its edges and slightly warmer through the centre.
Made from colour body porcelain with rectified edges, the slab offers low water absorption and clean continuity across large surfaces. The matt finish softens reflections and reinforces the authentic weathered-metal appearance. Being this dark, it works best where light can move across it, under a linear pelmet or a wash of warm light rather than flat downlighting. The broad tonal movement is non-repeating, so slabs sit together without the joint calling attention to itself, which makes it a practical choice for long counter runs, splashbacks and full elevations in outdoor kitchens and darker contemporary schemes.
