Cosmopolitan Black has a deep charcoal-black base enriched by subtle warm bronze and rust-toned mineral veining. The veins are irregular and clustered rather than continuous, gathering into copper-lit fissures in some areas and dissolving into fine pale threads in others, with cooler grey-green mottling drifting beneath. The result is layered tonal depth: read from across a room it registers as a single dark plane, and only at close range does the colour reveal itself.
Made from colour body porcelain with rectified edges, the slab offers low water absorption and clean continuity across large surfaces. The matt finish softens reflections and gives the slab a refined, tactile appearance, which suits a dark surface in a room with strong daylight. It is the more atmospheric of the two black designs in the range: where St. Laurent runs clear gold veins across near-black, Cosmopolitan Black works with clouded mineral movement and warmer, softer light.
